Lumbre, la última luz Support

Here are the most common questions. If yours isn't here, write to us at soporte@lopandsolutions.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. The game is in Spanish, so we give each option's name as you'll see it on screen.

Your progress

I lost my progress. Can you get it back?

If you turned on the backup (on Android: Options › Respaldo del avance), yes: install the game, go to Options › Respaldo del avance, tap Recuperar con un código (recover with a code) and type the 12-character code the game gave you.

If you didn't, we're very sorry, but no: your progress (lit beacons, scrap, town upgrades, your daily challenge record, the story notes) was saved only on your phone and we don't have a copy to give back. It's lost if you uninstall the game, clear its data or switch phones.

What you bought does come back: it is restored with your Google account.

I'm switching phones. Do my beacons come with me?

Yes, on Android: on the old phone go to Options › Respaldo del avance (progress backup), tap Prender el respaldo (turn on backup) and write down the code. On the new one, install the game and in Options › Respaldo del avance tap Recuperar con un código: your beacons, scrap and upgrades come back. What you bought comes back on its own with the same Google account (or in the game's shop with Restaurar compras, restore purchases).

How do I delete my data?

If you turned on the backup, start there: in Options › Respaldo del avance tap Borrar el respaldo (delete backup). If you no longer have the phone, write to us at soporte@lopandsolutions.com with your code and we'll delete it. What you bought stays as the record of the sale (privacy notice, section 7).

Then, either of these two options deletes everything the game saved on your phone:

  1. Uninstall Lumbre.
  2. Or go to Settings › Apps › Lumbre › Storage and tap Clear data (the exact wording varies a little by phone brand).

That deletes the progress on your phone. The technical crash and usage data the game sends carries neither your name nor your account and is deleted automatically (usage data after 2 months, crash data after 90 days); if you want us to look for it sooner, write to us. The details are in the privacy notice.

Playing

It's too dark and I can't see the Shadows

The dark is part of the game, but it shouldn't frustrate you. In Opciones (Options, from the pause menu or the map) turn on Noche más clara (brighter night): you can see what's in the dark, and the Shadows and your light work the same.

Shadows always show their eyes, even outside your light. And your lamp only shoots at what it lights up: if you're not hitting one, move a little closer.

The flashing or the vibration bothers me

In Opciones turn on Reducir destellos (reduce flashing): the flame of the lamp and of the flares stops flickering, and the camera stops shaking on hits. In the same screen you can turn off Vibración (vibration) and Sonido (sound).

How do I see the first-night guide again?

In Opciones, tap Guía de la primera noche (first-night guide): your next run teaches you again, one tip at a time.

Achievements and daily challenge

Does it have Google Play Games achievements?

Not yet: achievements and a leaderboard with the best daily challenge times are coming in an update. Meanwhile, your record and the days you won in the challenge are saved on your phone (and in your backup, if you turned it on).

How does the daily challenge work?

Every day at midnight (your phone's time) there's a new challenge: the same leg and the same modifier for everyone. You win it by lighting the beacon, and the fun is doing it faster each time. It doesn't count toward your journey; the first time you win it each day you get a little scrap, and the game keeps your best time of the day.

Phones, purchases and refunds

Which phones does it work on?

On phones with Android 7.0 or newer and Google Play. It's played in portrait, with one finger.

If your phone can't keep up, the game lowers the quality of the light and the sparks on its own so it doesn't stutter. If an iPhone version comes out, we'll announce it here.

What notifications does the game send, and how do I turn them off?

Only if you said yes (in the question after your first game or in Options). There are two kinds: reminders about the daily challenge (at most one a day, in the afternoon; your phone schedules them) and occasional news about the game. Each one can be turned off separately in the game, in Opciones › Avisos, or in Settings › Apps › Lumbre › Notifications. The details are in the privacy notice.

Do I need internet to play?

No. The store if you buy something, on Android our game service (to confirm your purchases and, if you turned it on, the backup), the news if you turned them on and the technical crash and usage data, which waits until there is a connection, use the internet.

Does it have ads or real-money purchases?

Ads, no. Purchases, yes, and all optional: the whole coast (with its guardian, the town and the daily challenge) is free to play, and one single purchase, Lumbre completo, unlocks the dam and the city forever. There are also looks for the lamplighter and a tip for the studio.

Nothing you buy makes you stronger and there are no loot boxes: scrap and town upgrades are earned by playing. If someone sells you Lumbre scrap, it isn't us.

I bought something and it doesn't show up
  1. Wait a moment: sometimes the store takes a while to confirm the payment (cash payments at a store can take longer; the game tells you it's pending).
  2. Open the game's Tienda (shop) and tap Restaurar compras (restore purchases), while online.
  3. Check that you're on the same Google account you bought with.

If it still doesn't show up, write to us with the order number (it's in the Google Play email) and we'll look into it.

How do I ask for a refund?

Refunds are given by Google Play: shortly after buying you can request one from your order history on Google Play; later, through their help center. If you have a problem, write to us too and we'll help. If a purchase is refunded, on Android the game removes it the next time you open it with internet. The details are in the terms of use.

The game is slow or the sound is off

Close other open apps and reopen the game. If it's still the same, turn on Cuadros por segundo (frames per second) in Opciones and write to us with the number you see and your phone's brand and model: it really helps us find the problem.
