Description
Lopand Game Studio's sixth game, still unnamed, is a co-op 3D building and survival game for Android and PC: one to four guild apprentices set up camp across five regions of Almar, two hundred years after El Aprendiz de Almar.
Lopand Game Studio's sixth game, still unnamed, is a co-op 3D building and survival game for one to four players, in development for Android and PC. It takes place in the world of Almar, two hundred years after El Aprendiz de Almar: the alchemists' guild sends its apprentices to set up camp in lands no one has walked in a long time.
The whole world is made of blocks: you dig, store and build. By day you explore and gather what you need; at night the moss wolves come out and the campfire is your refuge. Alchemy with the four essences (Ascua, Rocío, Raíz and Vilano) gives potions, tools and a wand that transforms whatever it touches, and every region hides a guild neighbor to rescue.
History
It started on October 11, 2026 as a test to find out whether a 3D block world could run well on a phone. In our tests on a mid-range phone it runs at about 57 frames per second, and today it's already playable in the studio from the first region to the last.
Every creature is reviewed so it only looks like itself, and every idea so the game is our own. The art is provisional and made in the studio. It's built with more than a thousand automated tests and a four-player test on every change.
Features
- 3D building and survival, alone or with up to three friends; the world belongs to whoever opens the game and everyone sees the same thing.
- Five regions, each with its own ground, weather and color: the Lindero de Brezo, the Montes Grises, the Salinas de Kessar, the Grieta Mayor and the Mar Hondo.
- A day and night cycle: more and more moss wolves, a campfire that lights, heals and goes out if you don't feed it, and an ember moon every third night.
- Alchemy with Almar's four essences: potions, copper tools that wear out, alchemical crops and the guild's wand, which transforms blocks.
- Four guild neighbors to rescue, with daily errands and works for the camp: watchtower, oven, greenhouse and coral lighthouse.
- Team play: signals with columns of light, lifting a fallen friend and a shared chest.
- First or third person; graphics quality that adapts to the phone.
