La Botica de Almar Support
Here are the most common questions. If yours isn't here, write to soporte@lopandsolutions.com and we'll answer as soon as we can. The game is in Spanish, so the names below are the ones you'll see on screen.
Your progress
I lost my progress, can you recover it?
If you turned on the backup (on Android: Options › Respaldo de la partida, “save backup”), yes: install the game and, from the start menu, go to Options › Respaldo de la partida, tap Recuperar con un código (“recover with a code”) and type the 12-character code the game gave you.
If you didn't, we're very sorry, but no: your progress (the day, coins, essences, recipes, garden, upgrades and decorations) was saved only on your phone and we don't have a copy to give back. It's lost if you uninstall the game, clear its data or change phones.
I'm changing phones, can I take my game with me?
Yes, on Android, with the backup: on the old phone go to Options › Respaldo de la partida, tap Prender el respaldo (“turn on backup”) and write down the code (or ask an adult to keep it). On the new one, install the game and, from the start menu, go to Options › Respaldo de la partida and tap Recuperar con un código. Your game arrives complete, unspent essences included. Without a backup, only the starter pack comes back (tap Restaurar compras, “Restore purchases”, in the shop).
How do I delete my data?
If you turned on the backup, start there: in Options › Respaldo de la partida tap Borrar mi respaldo (“delete my backup”). If you no longer have the phone, write to soporte@lopandsolutions.com with the code and we'll delete it. Purchases stay as the record of the sale, linked only to an anonymous identifier (privacy notice, section 8).
Then either of these two options deletes everything the game saved on your phone:
- Uninstall La Botica de Almar.
- Or go to Settings › Apps › La Botica › Storage and tap Clear data (the exact names vary a little by phone brand).
That deletes the progress on your phone. The technical crash and usage data the game sends (on Android) carries neither your name nor your account and is deleted automatically (usage data after 2 months, crash data after 90 days); if you want us to find and delete it sooner —also if you are the parent or guardian of the player—, write to soporte@lopandsolutions.com with the phone model and the date it was played. The details, and what Google Play and the ads process, are in the privacy notice.
Purchases and ads
I bought essences and they didn't arrive
Close and reopen the game with internet: the store tells the game what's pending and it's delivered when it opens. If you paid in cash or with a slow payment method, it arrives when Google Play confirms it. If it hasn't arrived in 3 days, Google Play refunds the payment automatically.
How do I request a refund?
Payments are processed by Google Play, and so are refunds: within the first 48 hours, from your order history on Google Play; after that, through Google Play support. If you have a problem with what you bought inside the game, write to us.
Does it have ads?
Only if you want: in Misiones (Missions) you can watch an ad in exchange for a gift (an hourglass, a rare ingredient or a double tip), up to 5 a day. They never appear on their own. They're suitable for all ages and non-personalized.
Is it for kids?
Yes, it's for everyone. It doesn't ask for data or sign-up, the ads are set up for children, and purchases follow Google Play's rules for minors' accounts (such as parental approval). The save backup starts off and asks for no personal data: it only gives a code, best kept by an adult.
Playing
The text is too small
Pause the game, tap Opciones (Options) and turn on Letra grande (Large text).
I want to lower the music or turn off vibration
In Opciones (from the pause) you can adjust Música, Efectos and Ambiente separately, turn off all Sonido and turn off Vibración. If motion makes you dizzy, turn on Reducir movimiento (Reduce motion).
Customers leave without buying
Each customer waits a while; if you don't have what they want, they leave. Brew what's missing in the workshop (the alembic also opens in the afternoon) and buy the waiting bench so they're more patient.
What notifications does the game send, and how do I turn them off?
Only if you said yes (in the question shown on the night of your first day at the shop or in Options). There are two kinds: reminders that what you planted is ready to harvest or that you haven't played in a few days (at most one a day, in the afternoon; your phone schedules them) and occasional news about the game. They are never ads or notices to buy. Each one can be turned off separately in Options or in Settings › Apps › La Botica › Notifications. The details are in the privacy notice.
Phones and general questions
Which phones does it work on?
Phones with Android 7.0 or newer and Google Play. It's played in landscape. If an iPhone version comes out, we'll announce it here.
Do I need internet to play?
No. It can be played fully offline; only the shop, the optional ads, the backup and the news (if you turned them on) need internet. The technical crash and usage data (without your name or account) waits until there is a connection.
Is it in English?
For now it's only in Spanish.
The game is slow or sounds wrong
Close other open apps and reopen the game. If it's still the same, write to us with your phone's brand and model and what you were doing: it helps us a lot to find the problem.
Didn't find your answer?
Write to soporte@lopandsolutions.com and, if you can, include:
- Your phone's brand and model, and its Android version.
- The game version (you'll see it on Google Play, under “About this game”).
- What you were doing when it happened and, if possible, a screenshot.
- If it's about a purchase: the Google Play order number (it starts with GPA).
Never send us passwords or your card or Google account details: we'll never ask for them.
