El Aprendiz de Almar Support
Here are the most common questions. If yours isn't here, write to us at soporte@lopandsolutions.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. The game is in Spanish, so we give each option's name as you'll see it on screen.
Your progress
I lost my progress. Can you get it back?
If you turned on the backup (on Android: Options › Respaldo), yes: install the game and, from the title screen, go to Options › Respaldo, tap Recuperar con un código (recover with a code) and type the 12-character code the game gave you.
If you didn't, we're very sorry, but no: your progress (quests, potions, allies, coins and what's in your backpack) was saved only on your phone and we don't have a copy to give back. It's lost if you uninstall the game, clear its data or switch phones.
I'm switching phones. Can I take my game with me?
Yes, on Android, with the backup: on the old phone go to Options › Respaldo, tap Prender el respaldo (turn on backup) and write down the code. On the new one, install the game and, from the title screen, go to Options › Respaldo and tap Recuperar con un código. Without a backup, the game on your new phone starts from the beginning.
I want to start over from the beginning
On the title screen, tap Nueva partida (new game) and confirm. Careful: your previous game is deleted and can't be recovered.
How do I delete my data?
If you turned on the backup, start there: in Options › Respaldo tap Borrar el respaldo (delete the backup). If you no longer have the phone, write to soporte@lopandsolutions.com with your code and we'll delete it (privacy notice, section 6).
Then either of these two options deletes everything the game saved on your phone:
- Uninstall El Aprendiz de Almar.
- Or go to Settings › Apps › Aprendiz de Almar › Storage and tap Clear data (the exact wording varies a little by phone brand).
That deletes the save on your phone. The technical crash and usage data the game sends (on Android) carries neither your name nor your account and is deleted automatically (usage data after 2 months, crash data after 90 days); if you want us to look for it sooner, write to soporte@lopandsolutions.com with your phone model and the date you played. The details are in the privacy notice.
Playing
The text is too small for me
In Opciones (options), turn on Letra grande (large text): dialogue, the journal and notices are shown in larger type.
I want to lower the music or turn off vibration
In Opciones you can adjust Música (music), Efectos (effects) and Ambiente (ambience) separately, turn off all Sonido (sound) and turn off Vibración (vibration).
I don't know what to do next
Open the diario (journal): your quests are there, and on the mapa (map) you can follow whichever you like. Pip's tips you've already seen can be reread in the journal, under «Cómo se juega». If you'd rather not see them, turn off Consejos de Pip in Opciones.
Do enemies and ingredients come back?
Yes. Common enemies you defeat and ingredients you gather come back the next in-game day (sleep in your bed until morning). Bosses don't: once defeated, they stay defeated.
What notifications does the game send, and how do I turn them off?
Only if you said yes (in the question shown after you complete your first quest or in Options). There are two kinds: reminders about the quest you left half done or that you haven't played in a few days (at most one a day, in the afternoon; your phone schedules them) and occasional news about the game. Each one can be turned off separately in Options or in Settings › Apps › Aprendiz de Almar › Notifications. The details are in the privacy notice.
Phones and general questions
Which phones does it work on?
Phones with Android 7.0 or newer and Google Play. It's played in landscape: the stick is on the left, and the staff and flasks on the right. If an iPhone version comes out, we'll announce it here.
Do I need internet to play?
No. El Aprendiz de Almar can be played in full offline. It only uses the internet, when available, to send the technical crash and usage data (without your name or account), which waits until there is a connection, and for the news and the backup if you turned them on.
Does it have ads or real-money purchases?
This version has no ads and no purchases: the whole story is free. In-game coins are earned by playing and are not for sale. If someone sells you coins or items for El Aprendiz de Almar, it isn't us.
Is it available in English?
For now, the game is in Spanish only.
The game runs slowly or the sound is off
Close other open apps and reopen the game. If it's still the same, write to us with your phone's brand and model and where you were (the place on the map and what was happening): it really helps us find the problem.
Didn't find your answer?
Write to us at soporte@lopandsolutions.com and, if you can, include:
- Your phone's brand and model, and its Android version.
- The game's version (you'll find it on Google Play, under "About this game").
- What you were doing when it happened and, if possible, a screenshot.
Never send us passwords or your Google account details: we will never ask for them.
